About Richard Robinson
Richard Robinson at Ashburton is the Fund Manager with responsibility for the Ashburton Global Energy Fund. He joined Ashburton in 2000 and has 16 years’ experience in the investment industry. Richard graduated from Cardiff University in 1996, he then worked for Abbey National Stockbrokers in London and Jersey before joining Ashburton. Richard is a Member of the Securities Institute and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the Securities Institute Diploma. Richard began his Ashburton career as an assistant on the Ashburton European Equity Fund and became Lead Fund Manager of this Fund from 2007 to April 2014. Richard was one of the architects for the move from a regional to a sectoral investment model. Richard successfully launched the Ashburton Global Energy Fund in 2013. A fund that focuses on management of the cycle which creates more opportunity to generate alpha. This tried and tested approach is evident through the life of the Fund.
